Translation Errors
[1] The phrase ‘grievously afflict’ in the KJV
should be translated as ‘honor’. The Book of
Mormon follows the KJV error. The NIV renders the phrase
‘...In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and
the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor
Galilee of the Gentiles...’ Verse 2 and following of
this chapter makes it clear that the KJV rendering makes
no contextual sense. 
[2] The addition of the word
‘Red’ creates a geographical problem. The
phrase "way of the sea" is the name of an
ancient trading route that ran from the Nile Delta along
the Palestinian coast into Mesopotamia (known as the Via
Maris to the Romans). The Book of Mormon phrase
makes no sense, and could never have been part of Isaiah.
