The Book of Mormon and James

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally... II Nephi 4:35 Yea, I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh...
James 1:17 ...with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Alma 7:20 ...neither doth he vary from that which he hath said; neither hath he a shadow of turning from the right to the left...
Mormon 9:9 ...and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of changing?
James 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. Mosiah 16:3 For they are carnal and devilish...which was the cause of all mankind becoming carnal, sensual, devilish...
Alma 42:10 Therefore, as they had become carnal, sensual, and devilish...
James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. II Nephi 4:35 ...Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss...
Mormon 9:28 ...ask not, that ye may consume it on your lusts...

The word 'liberally' (James 1:5) is used only once in the Book of Mormon.

The word 'sensual' (James 3:15) is used only twice in the Book of Mormon, both times with the word 'devilish'.

The word 'amiss' (James 4:3) is used only once in the Book of Mormon. The word 'consume' appears four times, twice in quotations from Isaiah (II Nephi 17:20, II Nephi 20:18), once in a quotation from Malachi (II Nephi 26:6), and once in a quotation from James 4:3. Note that II Nephi 4:35 contains two separate references to the epistle of James.
